Internal
Revenue Service's New Tax Credit!
Visit the Internal Revenue Service's site
@ http://www.irs.gov
for details.
We all know who the Internal Revenue Service is, but they too,
are encouraging taxpayers to take advantage of a new nonrefundable
tax credit which will apply for those who qualify for tax years
2002 through 2006. It is a credit up to 50% of the first $2,000.00
contributed to 401(k) plans, IRAs, and specified additional plans.
You qualify if:
- You file a joint return and your Adjusted
Gross Income (AGI) is $50,000.00 or less;
- You file a single return with an AGI of
$25,000.00 or less;
- You file a head of household return of $37,500.00
or less.
Only full-time students, dependents on
another's return, and those under 18 years of age do not qualify.
Should your income be greater than these levels, you would still
qualify for a credit of 10% or 20%, depending on your AGI. For
additional details, The Internal Revenue Service is fully appraised
of this program and can be reached at (800) 829-1040.
